haven't blogged for quite long... the rotation at tuen mun hospital is really quite busy... yet it's really fulfilling and the doctors there are really nice... with 6 of us there following 6 different teams, it was initially really quite freaky... it's like once the consultants ask you question, you have to answer cos there's no one to help you... well 3 weeks have gone by, and we have resorted to joining each other when we have nothing to do... so it's like 2 of us at opd or something like that.. makes it a bit less stressful haha... friday was the record, 5 of us were at the OT together watching a mastectomy with a tram flap done, after which we went to watch an ercp. it's really quite fulfilling :)
other updates... jo's left hk, it's hilarious when she was here. in cambridge when we went around, she was always CARRYING her handphone and her wallet in her hands... then after she came to hk and all of us called her black bag that she brings to work obiang, she decided to get bags!! got 3 at one go. haha. so funny... then it was even more hilarious when both of us went to get our electronics stuff... gavin was going to join us but couldn't in the end... so there were we, 2 complete techno idiots loitering around for almost 4 hours!! she couldn't decide which speakers to get and i couldn't find the headphones i wanted... and she was buying random stuff while i wanted to get an SD card... initially wanted to get a scandisk one... but all those we saw around said sandisk... and we were stupid enough to think that they were all fake hahaha... we just assumed the entire hk sold fake scandisk stuff!! but of course, later we found out it has been sandisk all along hahaha... how silly....
then there's joel and daniel... they're doing comm service in shenzhen... THEN last night, they called me and told me they had no place to stay!! it's so hilarious... too bad ryan's left, so they couldn't go there to stay... oh well they figured it out in the end haha...
finally managed to meet up with gav the techno genius... hehe... walked around and chatted... so fun :) we sat at the mango place trying to solve the stages of the game i couldn't solve for days!! well with his help, i've finally got past stage 2, so now i can move on to the rest of the stages!! it's this game called the amazing world, which i've just put in my pocket pc, it's something like the incredible machine, it's loads of fun!!!
and gavin's so sweet, he bought me the earphones i've always wanted, said he owed me something since i've been cooking for him when i was over in cambridge... makes me feel so bad!! >< but hey, i really love those earphones, esp the turn turn case *grin*
now these people have all left ><>< i promise i'll try my best to come over and watch you guys graduate!!!
ARGH SO HORRIBLE!! i blogged this long entry about my birthday and all that happened, and after i pressed publish, THE WHOLE THING WAS GONE!!! sigh. and i put in nice pictures of yesterday's lunch and stuff... *wince*
so i shall just cut the long story short. thanks to the gang for going out to celebrate with me ^^ i really appreciate it a lot!! and for the mango cake hehe... we can finally have mango cake la!! cos nobody's allergic to mango hahaha... all the laughters and the jokes and the super-rushed lunch (stupid queue) and the silly movie... *grin*
and of course, thanks dear for being so understanding, for picking me up in the morning just to bring me to meet my friends, and coming back to pick me up after the movie. and for having my favourite jap food with me hehehe... and for bringing my bishi bashi over *wide grin*
and to a lot of other people of course... thanks for the nice fossil watch, you know who you are :) you really shouldn't have, now i feel so bad about it!! but it's really so pretty, and it comes with a second hand!! very very good. because my watches have no second hand so i always can't count the pulse rate and respiratory rates... now i can!
and thanks for momo, he's now sitting in my bookshelf. i promise to keep it safe and to remember you by it ar :) and the bracelets. very pretty, i really can't bear to wear them cos they'll tarnish!!
and it's always wonderful to receive a birthday card from your ex teacher isn't it. *grin* i'm so touched that he actually remembers, and never fails to make the card arrive on the exact day of my birthday. i'm pretty amazed!
and the other little presents here and there, thanks for all of them, i will keep all these safe :) when i have time i shall take photos of them and post them here...
time for bed. *yawns* kenneth's coming over to hk tomorrow! busy busy busy.
i'm now officially an adult!! haha... in a way sad in a way happy. well even though my birthday just started, it's been special in a lot of ways, with so many friends wishing me happy birthday, some giving me my presents really early, some being so super sweet in getting me such cute and nice presents, and a lot more!!
today's nice :) it'si the last night of me being 20, and i had a great time out with a couple of pals :) i feel so blessed...
anyway let me type a bit more about today... this morning we had to do a drug practical with a lot of white mice... i fell in love with the one i injected (well actually labtech did it for me)... i grew rather attached to the one i was with... sort of tamed it, it would sit on my hand and let me stroke it and show no intention of running away even when it was wide awake... so after i learnt that these mice were all going to be killed after the prac, got a bit depressed...
on something more lighthearted, after prac we went down to 113 to retake our photos... since 6 of us were there we requested for the photographer to take photo of all 6 of us... haha... so nice! now it looks like a family photo... will put it up when i get it...
cosk in the afternoon, it's the best cosk so far maybe... i like bridget ma, she's a really good prof :)
at night... *grin* i feel so blessed.
will blog more at night about my first day of being officially an adult :)

finally back in hk... school's started!! tragedy... ><><
and paris was just so beautiful and romantic!! just wished school didn't have to start so soon so that i could stay there longer...
well shan't blog about my trip tonight, a bit drained... hehe talk about it some other time!!!
went down to london today!! exciting!!! gavin went for his job interview in the morning, and ryan and i went down slightly later at around noon... went to this chinese restaurant at chinatown for lunch, nice nice nice!!! heh realised that i haven't been having chinese food for quite some time already *grin*
then walked around in the afternoon at harrods... it's so pretty :) tried to find a nice soft-toy to buy but i couldn't find a huggable one!! the 2 guys were fascinated by this super super expensive watch while i was fascinated by the toys and food hahahaha.... well they were fascinated by the food too...
jo came down to join us later cos we were going to watch...*drum roll* LION KING MUSICAL!! okay actually right i never wanted to watch it but then everyone told me that i must watch it if i go down to london, so we watched that in the end... a bit reluctant at first cos this is the most expensive musical... but haha... we are all so impressed by it!! it's really really very very very very good... so if you all go down to london YOU ALL MUST WATCH LION KING!!! hahaha....
then another thrilling moment.... aiyoh... cos we went walking around to eat ben and jerry's and went to london eye at night... and to see big ben... we almost missed the last train back to cambridge!!! we ran like mad after we got off the philly line.... we had only 5 mins to run to the train!! and we finally made it... got on 20 seconds before it drove off.... so risky!! haha... and that's why we got back at like what, 2+ am... heheh
it's been so exciting.... last night someone's friend was staying at christ and was feeling unwell, and ryan received a phone call and that person asked whether he could go help check whether the girl's alright... she had chronic pain at the left iliac region, so jo ryan and i went with her to A and E department... and as usual jo and i couldn't stop talking and in the end we made that girl laugh like mad... poor girl! it made her abdominal pain get worse.... >< but it's so typical of jo and me! in the end her friend came later so we went back to rest... today we found out it was a urinary tract infection, hope she's okay now...
so much excitement... makes us all very tired though... now feeling a bit sad that the year 3s are leaving cambridge... i barely know them but they're really very nice people, and i've had a lot of fun with them ever since i came here to visit.... i'll miss all of you >< hope somehow our paths can cross again and we can all meet up!! daniel and joel, i'll see you two jokers in hk in july hahaha...
now thinking of going to watch another musical on friday :)hee... shall wait for gavin and ryan to come back then decide, they're walking jo back now hahahaa...
just got back from trinity mayball... totally exhausted now!! it was from 9pm to 6am... and we started to queue at like 630... so now i'm like a zombie together with the rest of the people who went for mayball.... it was really great though, the nicest fireworks i've ever seen in my life, even better than disney!! the champagne, drinks, hot air balloon, punts... etc etc...
too tired now to blog actually.... shall update sometime when i'm more awake!! goodnight world!
heh in aa's room now... peilin's already asleep, hope aa is asleep too! well as for me... a bit hard to sleep cos i've been sleeping late... the guys mug till rather late so i stay up with them... and then in the morning i serve as a human alarm clock!!
it's been quite fun here :) ryan's got really cool friends i must say, i really like them ^^ and that i can actually relate to them and be able to talk to them so fast!! haha... so happy... anyway jy was erm, generous today!! treated me to starbucks ice blended. ryan got jealous. HAHAHA. *grin* then jo and jy came over to aa's and 5 of us had quite interesting chats. all nice people. so happy :)
tomorrow the 3 of us are going to leave for scotland... hehe... excited!! maybe that's why i'm finding it a bit hard to sleep haha... well have to wake up early actually boo hoo... but should be fine ^^ okay i figured i'm getting a bit incoherent now... better go get some sleep
